Money can feel like one of the biggest pressures when facing an unexpected pregnancy. You may believe that without financial stability, you cannot provide for a child or give them opportunities.

Abortion, however, isn’t the only option. With the right support and community, parenting and adoption are also possibilities, even when they don’t feel that way right now.

1st Way Pregnancy Support Center offers free, confidential appointments where you can explore your options and get connected to the resources you need. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Support Is Available If You Are Worried About Finances

Financial struggle can make having a child feel impossible. However, once you start learning about the support available, it can feel more manageable than you’d expect.

It helps to ask yourself: what would I do if money weren’t a factor? Circumstances can change: a new job, a promotion, finishing school. In the meantime, there are programs designed to help bridge that gap.

Some resources available to you include:

  • WIC (Women, Infants, and Children): provides healthy foods, formula, nutritional counseling, and breastfeeding support
  • Pregnancy Medicaid: offers free or low-cost health coverage for low-income pregnant individuals, including prenatal care, delivery, and 60 days of postpartum care

We can also connect you to local organizations that provide baby clothes and other essentials at no cost. And if you need someone to talk to, we’re here for that too, without judgment.

Consider All Your Options

The three main options after you learn you are pregnant are: parenting, adoption, and abortion. There is no universally right decision. Each comes with its own considerations, and the most important thing is that you are informed and free from pressure.

Parenting can feel overwhelming when finances are tight. But many women find that leaning on community, family, and practical planning around work and housing makes it more manageable. We also offer classes at our center covering each stage of pregnancy and practical life skills,  programs designed so you can earn while you learn, and an exchange for baby items.

Adoption is another option if you don’t feel ready to parent. Modern adoption comes in different types: open, semi-closed, and closed. Some arrangements mean you can continue a relationship with your child, while others offer full anonymity.

Get Your Pregnancy Confirmed

Before making any decision, confirming your pregnancy is the most important first step

At 1st Way Pregnancy Center, we offer free, confidential ultrasounds that provide key medical information, including how far along you are, the location of the pregnancy, and whether the pregnancy is viable and progressing.

This helps rule out miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, and ensures you have accurate information about which options are available to you.

We also offer pre-abortion consultation at the center.

We Are Here To Help You

Every woman facing an unexpected pregnancy deserves to feel supported, regardless of her circumstances. We’re here to listen, offer compassion, and tell you what your options are, without pressure.

All of our services are free of charge, whether you need an ultrasound or a confidential space to talk. Financial struggle can feel isolating, but you don’t have to carry this alone.

Contact 1st Way Pregnancy Support Center to schedule your free, confidential consultation.
